Blue Celadon Glaze

Cluster feldspar: 40%

Silica: 35%

Barium carbonate: 8%

Whiting: 7%

Strontium carbonate: 5%

EPK kaolin: 5%

This is a very strong blue glaze that is fairly matte but does have some gloss to it. You can add 0.5% bentonite or 1.5% Spanish red iron oxide for some slight color variations.

Pier Black Glaze

Cluster feldspar: 43%

Dolomite: 24%

EPK kaolin: 23%

Whiting: 5%

Borax: 5%

This is a very lovely black glaze that works great to add gradients and shading to darken the colors already on your pot. You can add 6.6% cobalt carbonate or 6.6% iron chromate for a slight variation in the hue of thin layers of this glaze.
